Celebrate the winter solstice and Candy Cane Lane with us! We'll have more hot chocolate and a safer and smoother course.
Enjoy a dark, adventurous, evening trail run/walk at Ravenna Park near Candy Cane Lane - Seattle's most historic and famous holiday light neighborhood display! And yes, we said evening trail run!
At the finish line you will get hot chocolate, candy canes, kettle corn, and an LED light up finisher medal (if signing up for the 5K only!).
Dress up in holiday costumes, holiday light necklaces, light up or reflective running gear, or all of that!!
EVENT DAY SCHEDULE (Dec 19th):
10 AM to 4 PM - NO Packet Pick Up at the park. Same Day Packet Pick Up and Gear Up @ University Village! Exact location TBD.
4 PM - 1 Mile out and back + loop run/walk to Candy Cane Lane beginning at lower Ravenna Park! (gold bibs only)
4:30 PM - 5K Wave 1 (No strollers or walkers please) beginning at lower Ravenna Park (red bibs). 2 course loops.
5:30 PM - 5K Wave 2 (strollers and walkers allowed) beginning at lower Ravenna Park (green bibs). 2 course loops.
ATTENTION ALL RUNNERS/WALKERS AND ESPECIALLY THOSE WITH STROLLERS: Last year we deemed a couple of areas to be unsafe and we will be re-routing around those sections for everyone's safety for 2020. However, please be advised and slow down or exercise extreme caution in all areas and at all times. After all, it is a trail run, and it is night!
Please DO NOT block trail if you are walking with others so that faster runners can pass. Stay to the right of the trail when possible.
If you're an experienced trail runner or faster (under 8 minute mile pace) please start near the front.
